Honored by UDAF
Ken and Lynda Norris, (seated and far right) are honored by Commissioner Leonard Blackham, for nearly 30 years each of service to the Utah High School Rodeo Association. Ben German (center) is the newly elected State President of the association.
Under the Norris' leadership Utah high school rodeo teams won seven national titles, three of those titles came in successive years in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The accomplishment earned them permanent possession of the sport's traveling trophy. The trophy is currently housed at the UDAF Main Building in Salt Lake City. The public is encouraged to visit the building and see the trophy.
Commissioner Blackham commends Ken and Lynda for their care that they gave for the leadership skills they helped develop in the thousands of students who took part in the High School Rodeo Association.
