Safe Eggs. The nation recently went through a major recall of eggs because of possible Salmonella contamination.
Utah eggs were not part of that recall. One reason is that our egg producers and food safety regulators work together to make sure egg farms take specific steps to keep salmonella and other diseases out.

Updated Egg Recall Announcement

Utah Consumers are Encouraged to Buy Local Eggs

  • The UDAF does not believe any of the eggs involved in the Wright County Egg recall were ever shipped to Utah.
  • Utah was originally placed on the FDA's egg recall list based on the fact that a Utah distributor was once a customer of Wright County Egg. Because of that the FDA was obligated to list Utah as a recall state..
  • We continue to monitor for the presence of listed eggs and will report updated information if our status changes.

Visit FDA.gov for more recall information.
Visit foodsafety.gov to identify recalled eggs.
